Lori Gentile Interior Design is a luxury, full-service commercial and residential design studio based in Solana Beach, California. We specialize in custom remodeling, interior and exterior architectural detail, and new construction. Every job is unique. As whole-home stylists, we tailor each project to the individual client, and work with the entire design team to ensure a fluid and beautiful end product.

Lori knew she wanted to be a designer when she was just a teenager, and more than 40 years later, she is still as passionate about the business as she was back then. Lori honed her discerning eye and intuitive style amid the vibrant surroundings of Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and later, Houston, where she trained under some of the country’s preeminent designers. Her travels to exotic locales around the globe have also had a major influence on her career. In 1998, she opened her own studio in Solana Beach, California. Since then, she has established a growing roster of local and international clientele, which is mostly made up of repeats and referrals—a testament to her professionalism and uncompromising work ethic.
Never adhering to any one particular style or being swayed by trends, her projects are at once timeless and edgy—part coastal, part rock ‘n’ roll—and always customized for the client. She is a master at mixing metals and materials, and loves a little (or a lot of) color. For Lori, it is less about designing a home and more about designing a lifestyle. She considers how each family lives in the space, draws inspiration from curious places (like your closet!), and prides herself on the ability to exceed expectations.
Lori is a graduate of Florida State University, and her work has been featured in numerous publications, including Luxe Interiors + Design and San Diego Magazine. She lives in Encinitas with her two-year-old Samoyed, Primo.
Monika Crawford | Senior Designer
Working in both the hospitality and residential design industries has kept Monika on the pulse of all things design. Her great style and innate design sense has made her a key member on the team at Lori Gentile Interior Design for two decades.
A design graduate of San Diego State University, Monika lives in North Park with her husband, two children, dogs and a kitty cat.
Process
We offer an elevated approach to everything we do and client satisfaction is our top priority. Our firm is known for creating high-style, custom interiors that stand the test of time. We are one of the only firms that supplies CAD drawings for the kitchen, bathroom, tile designs and custom millwork. This makes us an essential part of the team and ensures a smooth and streamlined process.
Philanthropy
At Lori Gentile Interior Design, we believe giving back to the community is an essential aspect of living a blessed and beautiful life. We also believe bright futures and prosperity begin with our schools, which is why we support projects and programs that focus on child welfare and youth education, in San Diego and around the world. Over the years, we have traveled to Africa, Southeast Asia, Indonesia and beyond. No matter the location, we have found that the time and money we donate pales in comparison to the love and gratitude we receive in return.
